“Believe it or not, this sweater is functional. The outrageous trim you see at the neck, around the zipper and at the pockets is made of Supplex nylon. Supplex feels a lot like cotton and it stands up well, which means the collar stands up and away from your neck when the zipper is open. (It’s lined in Synchilla.) The zipper is much longer than a regular pullover’s zipper. That’s because a regular pullover zipper is only made large enough to accommodate the average head. Ours is made to give you as much ventilation as you need. The Sweater is excellent for cross-country labors - you can throw your keys and wax in the zippered, hand-warmer pockets - and zip and unzip the front depending on your level of exertion. Made in USA” (Patagonia, Spring 1988).
