Notes: An extremely rare early Patagonia Sailor Shirt from the late 1970s in great lightly worn preowned vintage condition with minor signs of wear. Made of 100% heavyweight knit cotton.

“French sailors have been wearing these shirts for hundreds of years and our version is faithful to the classic design. We use long staple Egyptian cotton for strength and machine washability. The cotton is made into a 10-count yarn in a rib knit to give the shirt the proper weight. We offer the shirt in the standard boatneck and in a turtleneck for the mountains. Colors: White and blue stripes or blue and red stripes” (Great Pacific Iron Works, 1978).
