Notes: An extremely rare vintage Patagonia Shelled Pile Jacket from the early 1980s in excellent very lightly worn preowned vintage condition.

“The shell of this jacket is 65/35 cotton/polyester with a Storm Shed finish for added water repellency. The insulation is 9 oz. polyester pile which hugs the curves of the body and baffles air much better than an inner shell would. Velcro cuff closures, a powder skirt above the hem and a unique wind flap behind the zipper all prevent heat loss during active use. You can raise your arms as high as you want-and still the jacket won't ride up and expose you to the elements. There are no knit cuffs or hems for minimal drying time. A coated nylon hood zips into the powder collar and two oversized hand warmer pockets with zips are large enough to carry gloves or a wool cap. All seams are double needle top stitched for detail and ruggedness. This is the perfect sailing jacket” (Patagonia, 1982).
