“The ultimate outerwear for backcountry missions in foul weather. Its 2-layer GORE-TEX XCR™ fabric is 25% more breathable than classic Gore-Tex® fabrics. On uphill slogs you can free your arms from the sleeves through long pit zips. When the snow blows, the unlined, lightweight, highly packable 2.5-layer Gore-Tex hood snugs over a helmet and the powder skirt battens down with gripper elastic. An anatomically shaped design ensures function and fit, without excess fabric. Details include water-resistant zippered handwarmer pockets you can access while wearing a pack; an interior zippered mesh pocket; drawcorded hem, and a fleece-lined chin flap. Reinforcements in high-abrasion areas help you withstand pain enroute to powder. Imported.
FABRIC: A 2-layer composite of 3.1-oz. mini-ripstop nylon bonded to a Gore-Tex XCR membrane. Lined with polyester mesh in the upper body to disperse moisture; nylon taffeta in lower body and sleeves to shed snow. Reinforcements: 4-oz. nylon bonded to a Gore-Tex XCR membrane and lined with polyester mesh. Both shell and reinforcement fabrics are treated with a DWR (durable water repellent) finish.
