“One of the most versatile Synchilla® pile garments we make, the new Glissade Cardigan can be worn shell-side out for protection in blustery conditions, or shell-side in for low-friction freedom of movement. It's fully reversible with lofty, Lightweight Synchilla pile on one side, a high-tear-strength ripstop nylon on the other. The reversing mechanisms are equal and efficient: One side is not more presentable than the other. When traveling, use the Cardigan as your cold weather jacket, then layer it with Capilene" Underwear and a shell for skiing and climbing. It has a fully separating, two-way zipper, Y-Joint™ sleeves and nylon/Lycra® trimmed cuffs and hem. There are two zippered handwarmer pockets and a zippered chest pocket on the Synchilla pile side, and two handwarmer pockets on the ripstop nylon side. Made in USA” (Patagonia, Fall 1991).
