Notes: A rare vintage Patagonia Chamonix Wool Sweater from the 1980s in great preowned condition with signs of normal wear. Made of 100% heavyweight rib-knit wool.

“Yvon bought the original prototype of this sweater years ago while climbing in Chamonix, France. When it wore out, we couldn’t find anything but jive ski sweaters or smelly, itchy, oiled ragg wools, so we simply copied the old standby that guides have been wearing for generations. This non-oiled sweater is tightly knitted with heavy, 100%-wool yarns for luxurious warmth and superior durability. Knitted on sleeves (rather than sewn) assure a perfect fit. Dry clean only. Imported” (Patagonia, Fall 1991).
