Notes: A rare vintage Patagonia Lined Synchilla Overshirt from 1995 in good preowned condition with signs of heavy wear including two small singe marks on the front of the fleece. Made in the U.S.A. of 100% full-weight Synchilla fleece with a 100% nylon interior lining. Relaxed fit.
“We’ve postmodernized a classic product from the days of dirt highways, woody station wagons and streamside pan-fried trout. The shirt jacket was then de rigueur: made of scratchy wool the thickness of chain mail, it nevertheless tendered consoling heft against cold-country weather. Our fully lined Synchilla version is considerably lighter on the shoulders, more supple and easier draping, and better at blocking wind and shedding moisture - but it does have the proper ‘40s authority and bold color and, like its wool ancestor, tails that can be worn tucked in or out. The fit is appropriately over-sized and genuinely unisex (women will find it works well with leggings). Details include a full lining of nylon taffeta, a practical full-length zip- pered front (with non-corrosive metal zipper), generous zippered chest pockets and button cuffs.
