“A rural fashion staple in cold winter climates, the heavy flannel overshirt has suffered in recent years from poor department-store execution - scratchy, short-staple cotton, lackluster sewing and muddy colors. We have restored heavy flannel to its good name. Our hefty 6.5oz. , yarn-dyed and brushed cotton fabric is half-again as thick as our regular flannel. The workmanship is superb - double-needle topstitching throughout - and the plaids match up neatly across the pockets and front placket. The shirt has two chest pockets with button-flap closures (including a pen slot in the left pocket), a pleated shoulder yoke and a square-cut bottom” (Patagonia, Fall 1994).
