Notes: In good preowned vintage condition with signs of normal wear including pile matting on the elbows and mild loss of elasticity at the cuffs.

“Like our old, classic Pile Jacket, Baby Retro has become a tour-season staple for mountaineers. Baby Retro is a total-package insulating layer- the best such system ever developed for wet conditions. The inner surface is a Capilene® mesh that quickly wicks moisture away from the body into the outer layer (quarter-inch polyester pile). Using brushed mesh makes for a soft garment and its small holes trap warm air. Baby Retro's furry side is turned out so that moisture wicks through the Capilene fibers to the tips of the pile's outer hairs where it can evaporate. Or, if it's frozen, it can be shaken out or brushed off” (Patagonia, Fall 1991).
