Notes: An extremely rare vintage Patagonia Alpiniste Sweater from F/W 1990 in excellent very lightly worn preowned vintage condition with a few tiny stain spots on the front-middle of the sweater. Made of 100% heavyweight merino wool.
“The Alpiniste Sweater embodies quality, tradition and the integrity of things well designed and impeccably put together. A heavy wool sweater inspired by old French guide garments, it’s brushed on the inside to increase its loft and warmth. The yarn is given a hard twist before it’s knitted to make it stronger. The zipper (complete with leather tab at its base) forms a low turtleneck when zipped up. The sweater has a generous, full cut. Dry clean only. Imported” (Patagonia, Fall 1994).
