“Pure function is the principle of this spartan pullover. The Baby Retro Paddling Pullover is designed to fit perfectly under a paddling shell, but it's also a glove fit under an Olympic Class Pullover or SST Jacket. Baby Retro is a total insulation package: Brushed Capilene"-treated mesh laminated to ¼-inch thick pile creates a warm, supple fabric. This combination is significantly warmer than Synchilla® pile (in fact, it's about as warm as Patagonia's old Pile Jacket). It's the best pile we've ever used for paddling in cold conditions. The mesh liner wicks moisture quickly away from the body into the pile. (The holes in the mesh trap warm air, further increasing the paddler's warmth.) From there, the moisture migrates out to the fabric's fuzzy tips. The garment is cut short, just to the waist, so it won't conflict with a spray skirt or the waistband of a paddling jacket, and the sleeve length stops just short of the seals on your paddling shell. (The shorter torso and sleeve length fits women well - it's a big favorite as an overall layering garment for many of the women working at Patagonia.) The cuffs, collar and waist are trimmed with fast-drying nylon/Lycra® tape. Finally, Y-Joint sleeves ensure that your inner layer will have as much flexibility as your outer one. All orders are shipped in 100% biodegradable packaging and every delivery is 100% carbon neutral. Please allow up to 3 business days for your order to be shipped. Orders placed on weekends typically ship the next business day. We are based in the US. Tracking information is provided for all orders via email confirmation.
All international packages are shipped Delivered Duty Unpaid (DDU). International customers are responsible for paying any and all taxes or duties on the shipment and will need to pay them before they can receive their order.
Return Policy
Returns will be accepted only for store credit within 14 days of receipt. If 14 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately, we can’t offer you a return credit. To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the exact same condition that you received it. All returns must be authorised via email prior to shipping. You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable.
