Notes: An extremely rare and iconic first-edition vintage Patagonia Pataloha Hawaiian Shirt from the Mid-1980s in excellent very lightly worn preowned condition. This was one of the original 1985 Patagonia Pataloha aloha shirts. Made of 100% rayon.
“In the 1930's, a splashy, brash shirt was born on the islands of Hawaii, Soon it became famous. As its popularity grew, however, the Hawaiian shirt, once an item of impressionistic beauty, slowly degenerated. Its colors became lurid, its patterns lacked subtlety and it was most often found covering large bellies or hidden under Nikons, a pitiful sight. With these new Pataloha originals, we hope to restore some dignity to a once great classic. Using the old patterns as our guide, we asked an artist friend to design 3 shirts exclusively for us. She did, and we had the designs copied onto 100% stabilized rayon. (This rayon, made from a spun yarn rather than a filament, wrinkles less than the old shirts and is less likely to bag out of shape.) The shirts are cut loosely with wide full sleeves and body for that feeling of wearing nothing at all. The pockets are carefully matched to the pattern and the buttons are made of coconut shell. Garment washed, allow for 3% shrinkage. Imported” (Patagonia, Spring 1986).

Orders placed on weekends typically ship the next business day. We are based in the US. Tracking information is provided for all orders via email confirmation.
All international packages are shipped Delivered Duty Unpaid (DDU). International customers are responsible for paying any and all taxes or duties on the shipment and will need to pay them before they can receive their order.
Return Policy
Returns will be accepted only for store credit within 14 days of receipt. If 14 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately, we can’t offer you a return credit. To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the exact same condition that you received it. All returns must be authorised via email prior to shipping. You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable.
