“River Shorts have become standard fare for river guides, surf bums and water rats around the world (where currency is unstable, you can trade them for food). The durable, quick-drying 3-ply Supplex® nylon shrugs off abuse from the most turbulent rivers, rockiest put-ins and abrasive deck grips. The liner is a comfortable PCR (post-consumer recycled) polyester mesh brief. Velcro®-closing pockets are positioned horizontally to avoid snagging on oars. This year, we've made River Shorts one inch longer (5" inseam), and one inch fuller in the legs; the back rise is long for sitting comfort and the webbing belt and waistband (now with improved elastic) keeps your shorts secure in a swim. High-stress seams are triple-needle stitched. Mesh strips in pockets drain water and sand. Imported” (Patagonia, Spring 1998).
Please carefully review photos, description, and measurements before purchasing to ensure a proper fit and satisfaction. All orders are shipped in 100% compostable packaging and include a free weatherproof Old School Outdoor sticker. Please note that items for sale are vintage/pre-owned in nature, with most being previously worn. Each garment is carefully inspected during the listing process for imperfections/flaws which are then photographed and/or noted in the item's description. See the “Condition Ratings” tab for more information.
Please refer to the measurements included in the description of each garment to ensure a proper fit, as vintage sizing frequently differs slightly from modern sizing. Sizes listed in the product title are based on the “best fits a” size rather than the tag size. To ensure a proper fit, we strongly recommend comparing the provided measurements to a similar garment of your own that fits to your liking. For more information, visit the “How to Measure” tab. All sales are final.
